When
the nights grow crisp and the leaves begin to turn Idylwilde brings in
the harvest. Our yard is full of pumpkins and cornstalks. You'll
find crates of ripe apples picked at local orchards and freshly pressed
cider. Our own homemade caramel apples, Cape Cod cranberries, and colorful
gourds are favorites of the season. Shop the greenhouse for hardy or indoor
mums and bulbs from Holland. Don't forget to order a fresh turkey for
Thanksgiving dinner! |

Winter
starts at Idylwilde with the holiday season. For a traditional New England
Christmas, you'll find pine boughs, garlands, freshly made wreaths and
poinsettias. Our yard is transformed into a forest of Christmas trees
in all shapes and sizes. There are gifts, special candies, fancy desserts,
and all the makings of a very special meal no matter what the celebration.
We also carry plenty of firewood and kindling for chilly winter nights. |

Spring
arrives at Idylwilde with the first run of the Massachusetts maple syrup.
The greenhouse fills with pots of tulips, daffodils, and Easter lilies.
There are vegetable plants and seeds, and a large selection of outdoor
annuals and perennials. We also offer landscaping mulch in large and small
quantities to beautify your yard. Be sure to take home some of our own
fresh strawberries and rhubarb for delicious pies and shortcakes. |

Come
to the farm often in summer, the height of the fresh fruit and vegetable
season. You'll see our tractors bringing in sweet corn, tomatoes,
lettuce, and much more from our fields in Acton and Boxborough. Sunflowers,
zinnias, and other flowers growing here on the farm are also freshly cut.
In addition to our usual brews, iced coffee is available to help keep
you cool and, as always, we have lots of cold drinks and frozen treats
to choose from. |
